The Kiewiet Flounder board is a unique shaped board made from reclaimed oak wine barrels. It is perfect to serve your cheese, meats, tapas, sushi, bread, or anything you can imagine. The flounder can also be used as a cutting board.
Each board is handcrafted from reclaimed oak wine barrels that have been discarded by the wine industry in Stellenbosch. Each piece is unique, reflecting the natural grain of the oak wood. As these are handcrafted boards, dimensions and weight may differ slightly from board to board. All our boards are treated with olive oil, ensuring that no water or contamination can penetrate the wood.

Care:
Our cutting boards all come treated with 100% olive oil, and we suggest you do the same and keep it that way. Treatment with olive oil ensures that no water or contamination can penetrate the wood. After use, hand-wash your board with hot water and mild soap, then wipe dry with a cloth. Never soak your board in water. Once fully dried, apply a thin coat of olive oil and polish on all sides using a paper towel. Wooden boards can be damaged if exposed to too much moisture or allowed to get very dry. Avoid prolonged soaking or direct sunlight.
